The Serra Verde Group aim to accelerate the clean energy transition by becoming the world’s most sustainable supplier of Rare Earth Elements.
We were asked by the Serra Verde Group to develop a simple but striking website for them. The key points of the brief were that any imagery needed to be abstract and, if possible, include motion.
SVG extract Rare Earth Elements (RREs) from ionic clays.
Ionic clays are a natural resource that contain REEs and are formed when rare earth-bearing minerals weather and release ions that adsorb onto clay surfaces. They are considered a sustainable option for rare earth elements because they are non-radioactive and can contain both light and heavy rare earth elements.
The clays have distinctive marble patterns running through them, and it was these patterns that helped us form the basis of our visual solution – we used a series of abstract videos to reflect the formation of these visually interesting patterns.
